Zimbabwean Teenager finally on his Everton Debut
Nineteen year-old Brendan Joel Zibusiso Galloway has made his long awaited debut for English giants Everton Football Club in the Premier League.
The Harare-born Galloway was the immediate substitute under rare circumstances when his team mate Leighton Baines was injured against West Ham on Saturday.
Galloway moved to England from Zimbabwe at the age of six where he joined MK Dons. He became the club’s youngest ever player at 15 after making his debut in a 6-0 victory over Nantwich Town.
He moved to Everton at the beginning of the 2014 season, and he is to enjoy a five-year contract.
While he is eligible to play for both Zimbabwe and England, Galloway has so far been called up to represent England at the 2014 UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign.
